Schleicher County Hospital District has a long-standing relationship with Preferred Management Corporation that serves our citizens well. Our board of directors is pleased with the service we receive from Preferred Management, and with the professionalism with which that service is delivered. Our financial position has improved dramatically since we first hired Preferred Management as a consultant/contract operator.
Three years ago we leased our hospital and clinic to Preferred Management - an arrangement that continues to serve us well. Of primary concern to our board when we first aligned with Preferred Management was the loss of local control. I can honestly say that Preferred consults with our board on a regular basis and keeps us informed and includes us in all major decisions.
