As the deadlines for the changes precipitated by health care reform quickly approach, Cary is fulfilling a very important role for Preferred Management and our member hospitals. She is leading the effort to implement electronic health record (EHR) systems in our critical access hospitals. As a health care professional with 25 years experience with 8 as a chief nursing officer, she is responsible for coordinating communication between the Preferred home office, Preferred member hospitals and Preferred’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) vendor to establish specifications for our EHR systems. She leads the implementation efforts in all our hospitals.
